When was the last time you had some mid-day fun (of the email variety) with your partner? Mrs. C, a frequent reader, emailed me with a recent email exchange during the day between her and her husband. Hilarious! Do you and your significant other ever do fun stuff like this to break up the monotony?

Look, I need better response time than this. I am an important guy. I have things to do. I can’t wait around all day surfing the internet and watching the clock while my wife takes her sweet time getting back to me.

Ha! Thanks Witty Wife! Mr. C and I do love the witty banter!

Just to fill you in on the Lifetime movie reference: There was some old 90’s Lifetime movie about an abusive husband (obviously not a funny subject). In one scene the wife shows the dinner she made (including a peach pie), and the husband flies off the handle about something. He beats her up, and as he walks away turns dramatically and ominously (it’s Lifetime, people!), and says, “Peach pie better be good…”

The sheer ridiculousness of it all cracked us up, and whenever we jokingly fight with each other, “Peach pie better be good” always makes it into conversation. 🙂

Haha, I don’t really have time for it, but I’d certainly make time for it! Nice way to break up the day!
